Bible Discovery IV - Advanced
Overview
This honor fulfills the “Spiritual Experiences” requirements for the General Conference Ranger Achievement Class. It covers the stories and truths told about the history of the New Testament church during the apostolic years following Christ’s ascension into Heaven. The books of the Bible covered include: Acts of the Apostles and the epistles (Romans-Jude).

- 10. The Experience of Salvation
- 11. Growing in Christ
- 12. The Church
- 13. The Remnant and its Mission
- 15. Baptism
- 17. Spiritual Gifts and Ministries

Requirements
1. Earn the Bible Discovery IV honor.
2. Memorize the following quote:
- a. “The greatest want of the world is the want of those men and women who will not be bought or sold, those who in their inmost souls are true and honest, those who do not fear to call sin by its right name, those whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, those who will stand for the right, though the heavens fall.” True Education, pg. 38-39/Education, pg. 57, et al.
- b. Discuss: How did the apostles portray this challenge in their lives and missions? In what ways can Christians today live this challenge in our homes, schools, communities, and places of business? How can young people in your club or group live this challenge in your world?
3. Read, summarize, and discuss any two chapters in the book Acts of the Apostles by Ellen White. Apply the principles found in the story to a modern situation through a sketch, comic strip, poster, or other visual media (this may be done as a group).

- g. “The Voyage and Shipwreck,” pg. 439-446, The Acts of the Apostles
- h. “In Rome,” pg. 447-460, The Acts of the Apostles
4. Attend a visit with a church leader, where the church leader was giving doctrinal Bible studies to an individual or family. Summarize your experience.
