Bible Discovery V - Advanced

Overview

This honor fulfills the “Spiritual Experiences” requirements for the General Conference Voyager Achievement Class. It covers the stories and truths told in Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament (Job - Song of Solomon).

Requirements

1. Earn the Bible Discovery V honor.

2. Choose one of the books of Wisdom Literature. Individually or as a group, examine the following sources related to that book:

*** The SDA Bible Commentary Introduction on that book

  • A sermon or sermon series preached on that book (or stories within that book)
  • A legitimate reputable online resource**

Then, creatively present a summary regarding the title origin, authorship, historical setting, and theme using presentation software, video, or 3D display/art. Incorporate in your presentation at least three things the modern Christian can gain from an intentional study of your chosen book.

3. Assist a church leader in giving a portion of a series of doctrinal Bible studies. List the portions of the study and your role in each part.
