Metal Craft
Overview
Get ready to bend, shape, punch, and build with metal! This honor introduces you to the exciting world of metalworking, where you’ll learn how different metals behave, use real tools, and turn sheets and pieces of metal into creative projects.
Requirements
1. Name the various metals that can be used in metal craft.
2. Complete one project using metal foil tooling. Complete the project by antiquing and framing.
3. Complete one project using metal punch.
4. Complete one project using drilling, riveting, and bending of metal such as a simple candle holder.
5. Demonstrate properly the use of the following:
- a. Tin Snips
- b. Pop rivet
- c. Electric drill
- d. Metal file
