Requirements
1. Explain what needle felting is and how it began as a craft. Describe three basic materials or tools needed (e.g., felting needle, wool, foam pad) and why each is important.
2. Discuss two safety precautions when using felting needles (e.g., avoiding injury, proper storage). Demonstrate safe handling by showing how to hold and stab the needle into wool, and how to store it securely.
3. Learn and practice making two basic shapes with needle felting: a ball and a cylinder. Show how to start with wool roving and felt it into each a shape using a foam pad.
4. Practice attaching two shapes together (e.g., a ball to a cylinder) to create a simple object, like a mushroom or animal head. Explain how to join them securely without breaking the wool.
5. Explore adding details to a felted project. Use different wool colours or textures to create at least two features (e.g., eyes, stripes) on a basic shape, and describe your technique.
6. Complete three needle felting projects of increasing difficulty:

- A small object with attached parts (e.g., a flower with stem).
- A detailed item (e.g., an animal or functional object like a key chain).**
Show each to your group or leader.
