Sharks
Overview
Sharks come in all shapes and sizes! Sometimes they are seen as scary, fierce predators, but there’s a lot more to these creatures! Learn about how God created these fish and how they are important for the oceans.
Requirements
1. What are the main differences between cartilaginous and bony fish?
2. Talk about shark teeth and the diversity of food they eat.
3. Explain what shark respiration consists of.
4. Name two examples of cartilaginous fish that are not sharks.
5. Identify, through figures, five types of shark species.
6. What is the importance of Lorenzini’s Ampulla?
7. What is the smallest and largest shark?
8. Identify the main morphological structures of a shark through a scheme (which can be done by the Pathfinder or by the instructor).
9. Visit an aquarium, observe the cartilaginous fish and make a report about what has been learned.
