Singing: Answer Key
1. Know how to breathe through the belly (diaphragm).
2. Know a warm-up exercise:
- For breathing
- For agility
- For the register (high and low notes)
3. Describe the vocal cords and how they function.
4. Explain the function of the diaphragm.
5. Have a basic knowledge of music theory.
6. Be able to decipher an unknown song and explain all the signs and terms in it.
7. Write an article on three great singers or singers of different styles (classical, jazz, variety).
8. Be able to lead a song for an audience.
9. Choose a song that will encourage family or friends, and sing it for them.
