Tie-Dye - Advanced
Overview
This honor turns tie-dye into a real art form! You’ll explore its worldwide history, master different folding techniques, and create colorful designs using symmetry and geometry. By the end, you’ll have projects that are not just colorful—they’ll show skill, creativity, and your own unique artistic style!
Requirements
1. Have the Tie-Dye honor.
2. Give a brief history of the art of tie dye around the world.
3. Know how to make the following patterns:
- a. Symmetric:
- i. Crinkle
- ii. Stripes
- iii. Chevron
- iv. Pleats
- b. Geometric:
- i. Knot
- ii. Spiral
- iii. Rosettes
- iv. Circles
- v. Sunburst
4. Make an article of clothing using a symmetric design and at least 3 colors.
5. Make a tie-dye article with a geometric shape dyed in the center.
