Video: Answer Key (North American Division)
1. Describe two current video formats and how increased resolution affects storage requirements.
Answers may vary.

2. Identify the video file format that your video equipment can produce.
.wmv, .mp4, .flv, etc.
3. Demonstrate how to start/pause/stop a video recording on a camera.
4. Describe what the following terms mean and demonstrate them:
4a. Panning
A technique in which the camera stays in a fixed position but rotates left to right, horizontally.
4b. Tilting
Camera results in a motion similar to someone raising or lowering their head to look up or down, vertically.
4c. Zooming
Making the image appear closer or farther apart.
5. Using equipment on hand, demonstrate how to set up a tripod and mount a camera. Use the built-in level bubble if equipped.
Note: Please try to use a tripod with a level built in.
6. Verify that any video or audio used in your clip complies with applicable copyright law.

7. Create a short, simple clip and show it in a public place, like church, or social media. Video ideas include:
7a. Object lesson
7b. Music video clip
7c. Bible story (dramatized, puppets, acted, etc.)
7d. Nature
7e. Modern life dilemma
7f. Advertisement for church program, publication
7g. Etc.
8. Discuss how streaming video technology contributes to the spreading of the gospel of Jesus, as found in Mark 16:15.

Video Technology Ministry contributes to the spreading of the gospel of Jesus by performing the following:
Streaming:
- Allows those who “shut ins”, those who are unable to attend church to see and hear the message and feel like they are still a part of the church.
- Allows for the use in personal evangelism for small group study.
- Allows us to come back to a personal relationship with God. Looking at the following discussion will strengthen our commitment to Jesus. This action will help us see our part in the Great Commission and what avenues can be utilized to accomplish His work.
