Voice of Youth: Answer Key

1. What is Voice of Youth?

VOY is a program designed to provide an avenue for young people to be equipped in reaching out communities for Christ. It is designed to help young people to sharpen their skills in organizing and leading the evangelistic efforts of the church. The VOY is a gift-based ministry of the SSD to equip the young people of the local church to bring people, both in urban and rural areas, to a saving relationship with Jesus.

2. Summarize each foundation of Youth Evangelism in two to three sentences:

3. Why join Voice of Youth?

  1. To deepen your relationship with God: Prayer, Bible study, and witnessing.
  2. To equip you in sharing Jesus & leading His church.
  3. To develop your God-given gifts.
  4. To fulfill the Gospel Commission.
  5. To share the love of God.
  6. To prepare the people in the last days.
  7. To fulfill the SSD’s mission.

4. How to organize a Voice of Youth team?

  1. Pray for guidance.
  2. Understand the VOY.
  3. Coordinate with the church/ district pastor.
  4. Present the plan to the church board.
  5. Recruit team members.
  6. Coordinate with the conference or mission youth director.
  7. Equip the team.
  8. Partner with 1000MM/OYIM, but they are not included among the 12 VOY Team members.
  9. Partner with COT/SOT.
  10. Identify the target community.
  11. Know the strategies that work.
  12. Conduct a Commissioning Program.
  13. Go and make new disciples.
  14. Attend the thanksgiving and testimonial program.
  15. Write your experience & bless the next generation.

5. Own a Bible Study Guide.

6. Read three Voice of Youth testimonies.

7. How to nurture and disciple the newly baptized members.

8. Organize or join a Voice of Youth initiative for at least two weeks.

9. Describe your role during the Voice of Youth efforts.

10. Provide the place and date of the VOY you joined.

11. Write a Voice of Youth testimony following this format:

  • Provide the title (1-3 words)
  • Write your complete name
  • Cite the key text related to the testimony
  • Relate your testimony (450-500 words)
  • Write a short prayer at the end (1-2 sentences)

12. Provide at least five pictures from the start to baptism of your VOY experience.

13. Share your testimony to your friends or to the church.

14. Pray for the newly baptized and for the Voice of Youth.
